21 Days of Gratitude - Day 21

Just Be Thankful

“Let every living creature praise the Lord. Shout praises to the Lord!” Psalms 150:6 CEV

Praise (hālal) to boast, to celebrate.

This same word for praise is used twice and this passage is given to every living creature.

Thankfulness is a form of praise given in gratitude for something received or done for us and truly God is always doing something for us. Are very existence is on account of this almighty God of wonders.

So just be thankful when you can’t find a reason on a certain day you wish would end. Just be thankful when no song of comfort, no friend, and no encouragement can be found.  Be thankful when it seems the storm is overtaking you.

Why you ask … because there is God, my God, your God the very God that sent His only Son to this earth for you to give you eternal life and a hope that’s beyond any present troubles this day slammed you with.

So this last day of our twenty-ones day of gratitude  may psalm 150 swell up inside of you and flow out like a tsunami of praise from your mouth.

“Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.” Psalms 150:1-6 NIV

My response: Thank your Lord for being The Lord and give Him Praise, oh praise the Lord!
