Fast Conformity
   
Romans 12:2 
Be not conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.
   
        Paul is letting us know that God has a will, (purpose), for us that is pleasing, good and perfect. How we discover how good it is, is through the renewing of our mind.  Our imperfect, "bad", and unpleasing, (or unsatisfying), human nature typically surrenders to its culture and flows with the so called norm of its society. Paul tells us not to conform to the pattern of this world.
        To the carnal mind not conforming is always easier said than done - but as believers we have an advantage over the realm of the natural, because we are joined to that which is supernatural- the Holy Spirit.
        As we change, or transform, our thinking from one of conformity, (or surrender), to the world, to one of overcoming, we begin to go from victim to victor. We go from I can't, to I can through Him who gives me strength. We go from being conquered and defeated, to I am more than a conqueror through him who loves me.  We conquer the spirit of fear with the spirit of love and a sound mind. This transformation is achieved through faith in Christ and God’s Word.
 
Romans 8:28  
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Fast today conforming to the world’s ideals, or ways, and let your faith arise and be transformed by the renewing of your mind so you can discover God's good, pleasing and perfect will for this day.
