21 Days of Gratitude - Day 4

Thankful For Others
Part 1

“I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your love for all his holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus.”  Philemon 1:4-5 NIV

It is troubling today that so many seem to be satisfied as a church all to themself without seeing the need for worshipping with others.  It is sad so many don’t experience the joy of praying in agreement with the body of Christ,  or sit together to eat of God’s Word, or even having fellowship to encourage one another in the faith.

May we not take for granted the need for the body of Christ and our part in it.

My response: Give thanks for those who are available to pray for you, those who teach and preach the Word, those who greet you when you step inside the church door, those who serve on the board, those who spend time in preparation to lead us in worship. Thank the Lord for those who sit and adjust the sound or run the computer.  Thank the Lord for those who willingly teach the children and the one who cleans the church.  As you can see this list could go on and on.

Make your own list and pray for those on it and make sure you take the time to give them thanks.

Thank you Lord for our church staff and all the wonderful volunteers that take the time to be a part of the ministry at FIRST! I'm blessed to be their pastor!
