21 Days of Gratitude - Day 14
Thankful for the Food
“The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.” Psalms 145:15-16 NIV
It is an amazing blessing that you can find so many food choices in the aisle of the local store where you live so we can be thankful for the store. On the highway we are surrounded by trucks carrying food to the market so we can be thankful for the food delivery drivers. In the fall we are slowed on the county roads by the tractors or covered by dust as the combines
glean the crops from the fields around so we can be thankful for the farmer.
With so many to thank for our food we must not forget the source of it all, our Lord. Our God not only created the plants and their seed used for grain, the animals from which we eat meet or eggs, our God also established the seasons (proper times) for harvest.
When our God opens his hands He satisfies the desires of EVERY living thing.
My response: To be thankful for God’s provision and the changing seasons in order to plow, plant and harvest.

I'm so, so, thankful this day Lord for the provisions you have provided. Lord bless all those involved with the food we eat.
