Thankful for Life
“You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.” Nehemiah 9:6 NIV
Life is short so don’t live it burdened down with regret, fears, anxiety, and stress but instead rejoice in a new day by giving thanks to the Lord. Give thanks for another breath, another sunrise to see, another starry night to gaze upon , take time to look at the beauty of the earth around you.
Be thankful as you listen to the gentle song of a bird flying above or sitting on a branch enjoying its day, or the loudness of the crash of an ocean’s wave. Be thankful as you smell the scent of another spring, summer, fall, or even the crisp cold scent of the winter air around you.
When you give thanks for the life you have, see, hear and smell around you, your thanks joins in a chorus of worship with the multitudes of heaven.
My response: To be thankful for all that life offers me to enjoy.
