21 Days of Gratitude - Day 10
Thankful for...that
“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT
Every Circumstance that comes our way doesn’t always produce a joyous heartfelt “thank you Lord,” but truly this verse is not as much about encouraging us to give thanks for the unwanted trouble that may happen, but to look beyond it and find that for which we are grateful.
Example: one may not enjoy their present place of employment but they can thank the Lord for His provision of income while looking for something better.
Even though some days, or maybe right now what may seem like everyday, you are experiencing some agonizing circumstances, you must not let it take over your thoughts. Paul knew the best way to take authority over agonizing circumstances is to be thankful for THAT which HAS brought some blessing into your life.
My response: I will take some time today and find THAT for which I am thankful for in every circumstance.
