21 Days of Gratitude - Day 17
Thankful for the Love of Others
“I have heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's people. So I never stop being grateful for you, as I mention you in my prayers.”
Ephesians 1:15-16 CEV
This is an interesting verse because in it we find Paul being thankful for the church at Ephesus because of their faith and the love they are showing toward God’s people (other believers.)
What makes this so interesting? Paul doesn’t mention the love they have been showing him thus making it about himself. No doubt the church loved him, since he does mention “your love for all God’s people,” but yet his thanks is in regards to what they show others, Jesus, and other believers.
In this day when many fail to show gratitude if they aren’t the recipients of something may we never lose are appreciation for those who reach out to another believer in compassion or ministry.
My response: To show my gratitude through my prayers and support for those showing love and assistance to a fellow believer(s) even if I’m not a recipient of the blessing myself.

I'm thankful for seeing so many in the church giving of their time and resources in order to help others who are in need.
So thankful for the body of Christ!
