21 Days of Gratitude - Day 5

Thankful For Others
Part 2

“Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.”   Philippians 1:3 NLT

Paul was thankful for those who supported the gospel message and his ministry.

Many times we fail to recognize those who make our lives better through what they do.

From the one who collect the trash to those who sit in positions that pass laws to govern our land all share a part in bettering our lives. Then there are those who plow, plant and harvest the fields and those who process and deliver the food, which we eat, to the market. What about the teachers, police officers and military personnel or veterans, these all serve to better our lives.

These are only a few of the things that we benefit from. When it comes to the everyday things we tend to take them for granted and complain until they are no longer available, as a matter of fact, we have a tendency to complain about them more than we do in the offering of thanks.

My Response: Make a list of at least 5 or more services which you benefit from and give thanks for them, perhaps even find a way to let them know your appreciation for what they do.

Thank you Lord for the retail workers, postal employees, delivery drivers, EMT's, teachers, and the many people that work to make our lives more enjoyable. God bless them all!
