21 Days of Gratitude - Day 8

Thankful for the Reminders of God’s Goodness

“Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.”
1 Chronicles 16:8-9 NLT

This psalm of David, as recorded here in chapter 16 of Chronicles and also in Psalm
105, is written after the Ark of the Covenant is returned several years from the date of its capture.

In these verses, and the few following, David commends seven things they should do: v1 give thanks and make known the almighty’s greatness, sing praise, talk about what the Lord has done, v10 give God glory,  v11 seek after God continually, v12 and remember what the Lord has done.

Truly we all can find something to be grateful to our God for.

My Response: Take time out today and give thanks as I remember the good things my God has done, not just for me, but for every believer and this world.  “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.”   1 Chronicles 16:34 NLT
