Fast Unrighteousness
 
Hosea 10:12
Sow righteousness for yourselves reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek The Lord, until he comes and showers His righteousness on you.     

        It can become a challenge to sow righteousness into our own souls sometimes when we are so bombarded with the wickedness of our time. Everything from greed to lust permeates our culture making it a challenge to be holy before God. Hosea's prophecy encourages us to keep sowing righteousness for ourselves - in other words keep digging deeper into God's word and ways.
        The witness coming from this kind of lifestyle is love (reaping the fruit of unfailing love.) As we continue to strive for a righteous life soon every area in our life that was once hardened to spiritual direction will need to become broken- those emotions of anger, bitterness, envy etc. will all have to give way so the rain of God's righteousness will soak into our entire being making us the child of the Father we have been called to be - filled with love and covered in God's favor. Keep sowing the seeds of righteousness for you WILL reap a harvest of blessing.

Philippians 4:4-9
4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.8Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Fast unrighteousness today by setting your mind, and heart, upon the good ways of God,  and by seeking after forgiveness through Jesus Christ for that which is not pleasing to God.
