Fast Deadness- Resurrection Day
Matthew 28:6,7
He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
Today marks resurrection Sunday when we come together to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is truly a sacred and blessed day as we look back on the historical event of over 2000 years ago. But truly the purpose of the resurrection was not about becoming one of the most sacred times of church dogma but it was about you and me.
The event of the resurrection solidifies our hope of salvation in the fact that Christ sacrifice was accepted. The event of the resurrection assures us of our resurrection day. The event of the resurrection gives us a reason today to experience life and freedom. As we celebrate this day of resurrection may we be thankful, but let us rejoice in knowing what took place WAS FOR US!!!
Romans 8:11
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
Fast deadness today by not being a spectator but a participant in the resurrection, shout, sing and proclaim LIFE is yours today through Jesus Christ and make today a resurrection day celebration for you.
