40 Day Journey - Day 24

March 15
Fast Disobedience

Deuteronomy 30:11-16
Now what I am commending you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, "Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?" Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, "Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?"  No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love The Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and The Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

Moses was encouraging the Israelites before they went into a new land to possess it. Moses' words were given as a choice to follow, follow the word and ways of God and you will live, increase, and prosper; choose not to follow, and find death and destruction.
The beauty of these verses is found in the words "The word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it." There was no searching required and there was no need to ask - it was already given to them.
We too, as believers, have all we need to live, increase, prosper and possess the land; through Jesus Christ, his teachings, the Bible and the anointing of the Holy Spirit; we have more than enough to succeed in living a great life. There is a war going on between the flesh and the Spirit inside of each of us, but the key to our success is found in Moses words in v 16 ... Love The Lord your God, walk in obedience to Him, keep His commands, decrees and laws; then you will live, increase and find your land blessed..."
So enjoy your day as you walk in faith through your love for God knowing you have all you need in your heart and through what you speak to live a wonderful life. Thank The Lord and expect to be a blessing and to be blessed; it is your spiritual destiny.

Luke 11:27,28
27As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.”28He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

Blessing or blessed in the Greek (mä-kä'-rē-os) means being happy, so if you wish to be happy, live a life of obedience to God’s Word.

Fast disobedience by walking according to God’s Word found in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
